Abenteuerpark Gröbming – Austria's Largest High Ropes Park

approx. 3–4 hours · from 1 person, mini course from age 3, climbing courses from 110 cm in height · from 30 €14,4 km

For familiesGreat for groupsA taste of mountain air

Onwards and upwards, one step at a time: at the Abenteuerpark Gröbming, just around 20 minutes by car from Schladming, you'll climb through Austria's largest high ropes park. 18 courses across all difficulty levels, over 200 elements and around two kilometres of climbing routes wind their way through the forest at the foot of the Stoderzinken, at heights of two to fifteen metres. The littlest adventurers balance their way through the mini course from age three, while daredevils take on the Stuntman Jump and the three flying fox runs. A summer's day when nobody will be asking when it's time to move on — promise.

What to expect

After the safety briefing, you're free to choose from 18 courses — from relaxed balancing routes just above the ground to challenging routes 15 metres up. Over 200 elements await: wobbly bridges, nets, zip lines and the Stuntman Jump for that brave leap into thin air. The highlight is the trio of flying fox courses measuring 120, 220 and 260 metres. There are dedicated mini and children's courses for little ones from age 3; from 110 cm in height, the bigger routes open up. Children under 14 climb accompanied by an adult (max. 3 children per adult).

Prices & opening times

Adults and teens aged 16 and over pay €30, children aged 6 to 15 pay €25, and the mini and children's course for 3- to 5-year-olds costs €12 (as of July 2026). Want more? Go for the 'Climbing & Flying' combo ticket with the Zipline Stoderzinken at €73 (adults) or €53 (children from age 10). In high summer (early July to early September), the park is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, and on selected days before and after that, right into autumn — current times at abenteuerpark.at.

Getting there from Schladming

By car, it's around 20 minutes from Schladming along the B320 through the Ennstal towards Gröbming. From there, follow the signs to the Stoderzinkenstraße — the stretch up to the park is toll-free, and there's parking right by the entrance. If you're travelling by public transport, take the train to Gröbming and cover the last stretch to the park on the edge of the village on foot or by taxi.

Insider tips

It's best to come in the morning — the popular flying fox courses are still quiet then, and you'll have plenty of time for several rounds. Sturdy shoes are a must, and gloves (simple cycling gloves will do) make the zip lines more comfortable. On hot summer days, the shady forest park is a wonderfully cool alternative to the valley. And if there's still energy left after climbing: the Zipline Stoderzinken, the largest zipline in the Alps, starts just nearby.

  • 18 courses with over 200 elements and 2,000 m of climbing routes
  • 3 flying fox courses up to 260 m long, plus the Stuntman Jump
  • Mini and children's courses from as young as 3
  • At the foot of the Stoderzinken, only about 20 minutes from Schladming

Tip: Combine the climbing park with the Zipline Stoderzinken right next door — the 'Climbing & Flying' combo ticket turns it into a full day of adrenaline. And on hot days, climbing in the shady forest is far more pleasant than staying down in the valley.
